LOS ANGELES COUNTY, Calif. — October 22, 2026. In-person voting in Los Angeles County expands Saturday, October 24, when 123 vote centers open for the November 3 general election. Another 523 locations are scheduled to open October 31, bringing the countywide total to 646 vote centers, according to the Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk’s election information.
Voters can cast a ballot at any participating county vote center; they are not limited to a neighborhood precinct. Centers operating October 24–November 2 will generally be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with Election Day hours of 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Officials advise checking the specific location before traveling.
Registration and mail ballots
The regular October 19 voter registration deadline has passed. Eligible residents who missed it can still use California’s conditional voter registration process at participating vote centers; the county advises bringing information needed to establish eligibility and reviewing requirements before arrival.
Mail ballots began going out October 1, and voters may return completed ballots through official ballot drop boxes or by mail. The county publishes an online location tool to identify centers and drop boxes. Its voting guide says October 27 is the last day to request a replacement vote-by-mail ballot.
Eligible voters should use the official county election-information page to find voting and ballot-return options. Detailed counts, hours and the schedule for the two waves of voting centers are listed in the Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk’s November 3 election media guide.
