ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — St. Johns County voters have until 5 p.m. Eastern Thursday, October 22, to request that a vote-by-mail ballot be mailed for the November 3 general election, according to the county Supervisor of Elections.

In-person early voting began Wednesday, October 21, and continues daily through Saturday, October 31, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the county’s ten designated sites. Election Day polling places open November 3 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; unlike early voting, Election Day voters must use their assigned precinct.

Voting options and deadlines

The county’s official 2026 election calendar lists early voting at the Supervisor of Elections Office, 4455 Avenue A, Suite 101, in St. Augustine, along with the St. Augustine Beach City Hall, Southeast Branch Library, Solomon Calhoun Community Center and other sites in the county. Voters should consult the county’s full current list and any location notices before traveling.

Completed vote-by-mail ballots must be received by the Supervisor of Elections by 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3, to be counted. A timely postmark alone does not meet the county’s receipt deadline. The county says voters can return completed ballots by mail, in person to the elections office, or at secure ballot intake stations operating at designated early-voting locations during voting hours. The county warns against attempting to return mailed ballots at an Election Day precinct.

In-person voters must present acceptable identification with a photograph and signature. Voters who are uncertain of their registration status, precinct or ballot delivery should use the county’s official lookup and contact information rather than relying on campaign advertisements or social posts.
